PI.17.d1 Psammomatous meningioma (MT x40). Variant characterized by the abundance of psammoma bodies, which can form confluent masses between which lie islands of meningothelial or fibroblastic-like cells. This subtype of meningioma occurs predominantly in the spinal cord.
