The Alta Team’s Approach to Investing
We take an active approach to investing in areas where the Alta team and network has domain experience. These areas include internet, SaaS computing, mobile computing, consumer, security, communications and health care. Our investments range from as little as $50,000 to as much as $5 or $10 million. Typically, we invest $2 to $3 million initially and expect to invest $5 to $10 million over the life of a company. We are long-term partners looking for innovative entrepreneurs with the same view. Alta Ventures Mexico is an early-stage venture capital fund helping passionate entrepreneurs grow innovative companies in Mexico. Based in Monterrey, Alta Ventures Mexico provides seed, venture and growth capital to companies targeting high-growth markets. The Alta team has directly founded several startups and as investors helped launch more than 80 companies. We know that it takes more than money to launch a successful company and together with our national and international network of partners we are ready to put our experience to work for entrepreneurs. Through this network, entrepreneurs gain access to customer introductions, recruiting key management team members as well as guidance on risk mitigation, growth strategies or strategic partnerships.
