    SR50 with Aerox 100cc engine!!

    Hi there,
my SR50 has been giving me problems since i have had it, but the other day it died completely. I dont really want to get that engine fixed becuase it will most likey die again. But i was giving the offer of having a aerox 100cc engine being put into my moped. Just really want to know if anyone knows if it will work/fit ??

    Thanks

anything could fit but with a lot of hassle, and dont think coz its a 100cc it will be tice as fast coz those engines are ancient air cooled units, u would be far better off fitting a piaggio 125 two stroke from a runner, water cooled and far more powerful + malossi 172 kit dont forget you will need all the electrics

I concur. Lots of reasons, legal (possibly) and technical as to why this sort of conversion should be seen as a long term project. It certainly isn't a quick fix.

On the power/speed issue, the relatively slow speed of 'peds means that the rolling resistance has more significance at top speed than it does on faster bikes, and that messes up the math, but you still need about 6 or 7 times the power to double the speed.
