Explore the Collection

The Art Gallery of WA acquired its first work in 1895. Today AGWA's Collection contains more than 18,000 works of art. Renowned for its holdings of Western Australian art and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander art, the Collection is also strong in twentieth-century Australian and British paintings and sculpture.

While all Collection records are now available, we are in the process of digitising the Collection and will add more images regularly.

Please note, we respectfully advise Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples that this site includes the names, words and images of deceased people.
