NPIP 12+ Mottled Ameraucana hatching eggs/chick-closed until late summer/fall 2017

12+ mottled ameraucana hatching eggs for sale. I have two pens. One pen has a blue cock bird straight from Paul Smith, the other pen is a black mottled cockerel of my own breeding. The hens and pullets in each pen are a mixture of homozygous black mottled ameraucanas, heterozygous black ameraucanas (black split to mottled), and solid (homozygous) blue, and a blue pullet split to mottled. The possible hatches from the eggs are: Homozygous black or blue mottled, heterozygous black or blue mottled, and homozygous (solid) blue and black, and splash. These girls will lay 4-5 medium to large blue eggs per week. I have a foundation hen that is 3 years old and still going strong and laying several eggs a week. This variety is a relatively new one, and I am interested in getting the color accepted by the APA, though it is a long process. The mottled color is now listed as AOV, though to become a recognized color there will need to be 5 breeders documented that has worked on the color for 5 years...so all interested breeders are welcome to PM me and discuss the variety ! I am very happy with the egg color, pictured below next to an isbar (green) and silver laced wyandotte (tan) egg, though the pictures do not do the eggs justice.

They are beautiful But I think my mom loves her lavenders better. Ill make sure to remember you for the future.
rancher hicks may have wanted real blue eggs, but thats about the shade my birds lay. I guess the accepted colors lay better shades of blue.

The eggs are bluer than the pictures show. I am a terrible photographer, I'm afraid. I will try to take some better pictures showing the true color of the eggs. PoultryQueen101 is also correct- the accepted color varieties have better coloring. As this is still a project color (working through the APA!) the egg color wouldn't be as perfect as say, black ameraucanas, but I think the egg color is great so far! Better than most of the lavender ameraucana eggs I have seen.

I'm sorry, I do not have any silkies. I'm sure there are other classified postings for them though.

May I ask who you got your stock from?
