First AF after D&C questions..?

Hi ladies!
I haven't been on here for a while, how are you all doing??
I'm currently experiencing my first period since my D&C which was 4 weeks ago and AF came on Sunday/Monday. It's not very heavy, more brown than red and has some bits from time to time, no terrible smell just smells like period and a few weird pains but nothing to cry over, I'm just curious as to whether this sounds normal or not?

Posted 03-03-15Hi emkaya, yes this sounds normal to me. I had my first AF last week started Tues and finished by Sunday. Your sound similar to mine. I started brown, had a slight heavier day the next with mainly all brown and extra bits and then spotted brown the rest. I did have slight twinges and I'm guessing that's just your body healing it's self. Are you planning on trying this next cycle?

I bled For just over 2 weeks but I'd lost a lot of product before my D&C as I opted for Misoprostol first which I also bled for two weeks until I had the surgery to get rid of what the Misoprostol left behind, have you not had yours yet?
- Posted 03-03-15Sounds normal to me too. Don't forget the lining is thinner after a d&c so shorter and lighter can be because of that.

I feel like everyday I bleed it's putting AF back... I'm glad to hear yours came 4 weeks after the procedure. Gives me hope.
Posted 04-03-15I got mine on Monday, 5 weeks after my d&c. I'd had spotting for a couple of days before then my period was very dark but not too heavy for 2 days and now it's very light.
Wanted to start TTC again this month but DH is having hernia surgery around the time of ovulation so it looks like there will be no 2015 baby for us.
