The latest free update to Conferences That Work: Creating Events That People Love:

Conference handouts, cards, and forms

Conference handouts, cards, and forms are supplied in Adobe Acrobat PDF format. Macintosh OS X can view these files without additional software. Otherwise you can download the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader here.

Model session narratives

These model session narratives, supplied as Microsoft Word documents, provide an ideal starting point for facilitating peer conference sessions. Use them as is, or modify them to fit your particular circumstances.

Databases

These two databases are supplied in FileMaker Pro 7 format. You will need a copy of FileMaker Pro (Version 7 or later, available for both PC & Macintosh computers) to use these files.  The downloads consist of compressed zip archives, which can be unzipped on your computer.

Timer soundtracks

As described in Conferences That Work: Creating Events That People Love, these soundtracks, in the mp3 format playable by any music player, can be used to provide roundtable “time’s up” warnings. Each track plays two sounds at the appropriate times: a bell ringing when an attendee’s time is up, and a warning “ping” 30 seconds earlier. The Demo Sounds soundtrack is used at the start of the roundtable to familiarize attendees with the sounds they will hear.

FlexTime timer scripts

If you own the Macintosh timing software FlexTime you can use these two scripts to quickly create your own customized timing software for roundtable or other peer conference sessions.  The downloads consist of compressed zip archives, which can be unzipped on your computer.
