Hydro Hopper Review

Hey guys! Chill here. November is officially Games Month here at Chill's Club Penguin Opinions! All month I'll be reviewing Club Penguin's many minigames. To kick it off, I'll be reviewing Club Penguin's earliest game from before Club Penguin even existed! That's right, Hydro Hopper!

The game starts off pretty simple. The boat drags you on an inner tube, and you have to avoid obstacles or jump over them. Jumping over them gets you more points.

Too easy for you? No problem! Level 2 adds buoys that have to be avoided. Attempting to jump over them results in the loss of an inner tube (life).

If you've lost a life (or two or three) a life preserver will appear in the level. Catch it to get an extra life - but be careful! If you miss it, you'll have to wait until the next level for a chance to get another one.

For a few levels after that, some more obstacles will be added, like frogs on lily pads, ducks, and shark fins.

You can also purchase upgrades for the game, the wakeboards, at the dock. Unfortunately at the time of this post you CANNOT use the wakeboards in the game due to a glitch.

Does this game seem familiar? You've probably played it as Ballistic Biscuit or some other game at some point.

So, now that I've gone over the game, what do I think of it? Well, I like Hydro Hopper a lot. While it may be a very old game and somewhat outdated, I think it's a great game that veterans and new players alike can enjoy to pass the time. You can also try beating your previous high score, or see how far you can get.

Do you guys like Hydro Hopper?

Chill is out, peace!
