Once the residence of Rio de Janeiro's Governor, our guest house offers five bedrooms, including a separate house, a bungalow and a swimming pool.

The 1930's mansion is set in 1700 square meters of tropical gardens where small monkeys, humming birds, and toucans make their home among the fruit trees and many rare plants and flowers.

The owners are a Brazilian-French-Indian-Canadian-British family who are happy to pass on their favourite tips for enjoying the city of Rio de Janeiro.

Antoine is a musician and a great source of knowledge for the lively Rio music scene. He has produced several Brazilian albums including Real Brazil and now heads up the Afro-Brazilian jazz ensemble Alabe Ketujazz which you can watch here.

Bindu is a documentary maker who was the local producer for Anthony Bourdain’s No Reservations and is currently making 101 Short Films About Rio.
