@Eliza_bn
@Moire9_ @King_B_1111 @Wikipedia By putting articles that are not in fact based on reality or historical fact.
Btw, with some 'celebrities', the wikipedia bio/info is 'inaccurate' and wiki refused to change it, you can google that up. Also biased on political issues,rewriting history at times &on certain regimes
@RollinsCori
@AlexanderDkRU @Jensen19922306 @LarsBStruwe Fra wikipedia: A conventional unguided M549A1 155 mm artillery projectile has a circular error probable (CEP) of 267 m (876 ft) at its maximum range, meaning that half of the rounds can be expected to land within 267 m (876 ft) of their intended target.
@CAdatlichi
@UrMeer289 @RealJamesWoods I once tried to update a Wikipedia page with correct info on a subject I was knowledgeable about as what was there was wrong. An editor rejected the update with the excuse it wasn't 'sourced'. I replied the INCORRECT info wasn't so I didn't see that as an issue. No response.
@JasonCo76584874
@robcmorgan @Dorianlynskey @KinArtGallery I was out by a couple of months. Working from memory not Wikipedia. The Union Jack also predates Britpop.
They may have been included in retrospect but there was no such movement as Britpop yet and I’ll bet the word wasn’t used in that issue of select.

@Bubblebathgirl @elonmusk Wikipedia is edited by the community, if there is an error it is corrected and most have sources, it is not perfect but it works.
CN are notes created by the community, they are voted on according to their validity and most have sources, it is not perfect but it works.

@GrtCdnNeckbeard
@RealMiloBrando @kabrutusrambo "It was reported in [article] that no sound was made" is how Wikipedia operates. And as long as that article was written by the appropriate type of person/agency, it will be wikipedia's "truth" because then they can disregard first-hand evidence by anyone who was there.
@TallPhilosopher
@nadinecarroll @DPBeachNY @WeekInStupid @MaryF_Blackwell @CollinRugg @WesternLensman One nice thing about Wikipedia is that, if you see error, you can correct it, if you have citations to support the alternative text.
Are you aware of any serious errors on the site currently? What would you say is / are the most serious?
@kvebay
@handles78892211 @KetanVora4 @LeoMars75 @2s112709 @KellyQuilt would never trust anything from Wikipedia
I am not from Indian subcontinent but am aware of the concept of 'Sati'. You pick up on this issue. It was not widespread all over India and was a custom.
You colonialists killed and maimed millions in East Africa.
@United1908
@Cristiano_UTD7 @TalkOfRedDevils @rebsoit @planetfaz because even without the gramma error, it doesn't hold up
Its a team sport, so why use team awards for individuals?
Its incredible reductive and just shows that you don't actually know anything about the sport.
Just using Wikipedia to compare players
@CriticalAI
@HigherEdMuse @Bali_Maha @EnglishOER @safiyanoble Right now confabulations are being reduced through human labelers (who are of course subject to error and also quite exploited). But confabulations aren't the only reason why genAI isn't wikipedia.
Data-dependent systems can't distinguish right from wrong or true from false. /a
@Sparky000111
@Hongsiuwai1 @joemosch @GordianKnotRay Oh so now you pull out another reference from an entirely different and unrecognized China-subdomained academic website. Who's that supposed to convince? ? You started with Wikipedia, cut off the relevant portion, bailed and started with this weak sauce. ?
@schachin
@ChrisRadny @searchliaison I usually have a basic theory on when something goes weird I cannot even explain this....
I mean if it was any other site but the archive or maybe wikipedia. But what the heck? Not even a home page, no site links, no main url, bizarre.
This update is horrifically broken.
@DrLeoStrauss
@SpBDaveTDC Yes. And Wikipedia weapons stats don’t convey the significant and difficult maintenance, logistical infrastructure and cost issues far beyond non-trivial pilot training.
West retired flag officers especially declined to explain obvious issues to help West audiences understand.
@lordseven7th
@simpliismail @theayomiposi @_callmebekky These are the problems I have with people who read history from Wikipedia. Most times you guys should even know who you're debating with, their source, the connection they have with Ife (I mean Enuwa) itself. But I don't need to divulge that. Ire ooo

@TeslaTruckClub From Wikipedia:
The Shadow Figure Phenomenon is an anecdotal and controversial occurrence reported by a number of Tesla vehicle owners. Described as a rare, software-related glitch, this phenomenon involves the unexpected appearance of a shadowy figure on the vehicle's screen…
@HealingCrone
@kacdnp91 Wikipedia also lists the June 1967 destruction of a US military ship, The USS Liberty, that was under deliberate attack by Israeli forces for 2 long hrs with 34 men killed & over 170 wounded as "an incident." Survivors were threatened with court martial if they discussed it!
@JulieM00017789
@RobertStevenso9 @senatorbabet Not enough apparently
Wikipedia:
Babet considers his $200,000 salary a "pay cut" and believes that it is too little for the "suffering" that he will endure in parliament and that he would "be happier" staying in Narre Warren running his real estate business.[21]
@Brund_Robt
@rdone @JakeSherman The bridge carries an interstate, right? Who typically funds construction or major repairs of interstates? Henry Ford Museum says funding for construction & maintenance is from taxes on fuel, vehicles & tires. Wikipedia says mostly fuel taxes and was initially 90/10 fed/state.
@venusdeotis
@UnterrifiedJeff You can pretty reliably tell who the younger internet anons are by their level of complaint about wikipedia's quality, accuracy or method of getting/vetting expert submissions

@Ruudlunenberg @ErikHensema @frankv1971 Cloud seeding doesn't appear to cause environmental problems - at least not at the scale currently practiced. According to the Wikipedia article, Cloud seeding. The most common chemicals used for cloud seeding include silver iodide and dry ice (solid carbon dioxide ).
