Mint is a young design brand aiming to make your home as minimalist and aesthetic as possible by combining and adjusting their products for multiple uses. For example: Your wardrobe looks the same on the outside as your kitchen cabinets. Their kids bed can be used as a daybed later on etc. Mint has a slight futuristic look, even though it is made with influence from mid century classics.

Mint is for people who like to keep their home simple and natural, no clutter, just the things you need for everyday life.

 

The collection ranges from kitchens and bathrooms to coat hangers, beds and chairs, made in a range of 8 matching colours, and from materials such as Estonian ash and American walnut wood.

Loving the new Esrum range from Broste Copenhagen, in hand glazed stoneware with a contrasting mix of matte dark taupe and shiny ivory white. In stores in November, and I'm already looking forward to an extension of the collection coming in February, where among other things, a teapot, salad bowl and espresso cups are promised to complete the range.

 

 

 

 

 

Yay! I can never get enough of scented candles, and today one of my favourite brands when it comes to scents and skincare products; & Other Stories, launched their new collection of candles. There are four different versions, inspired by cherished places in Stockholm and Paris. I am most curious to get a sniff of the "Studion" candle, "named after our photo studio in the Stockholm Atelier, where stories and people are immortalised. Hints of bergamot and a heart of fig trees are rounded off with soft coconut and familiar wood, inviting you to discover a glimpse of our Stockholm Atelier." Bergamot, figs and wood sounds like an amazing combo!

Every time I've visited the Hay House shop in Copenhagen I've asked the staff if I can buy the perforated steel storage trays and boxes they use throughout the store to display the smaller products in. Every time, I've been turned down. "Only for in-store display" they told me. Well, not any more!

 

Yes, you may think they look boring. That's kind of my goal when considering what to get for my home. Only basic, minimalist items that my eyes won't get tired of, that won't go out of trend, and will mix with anything.

 

 

As you may have noticed, the posts here are coming very sporadically and far apart... I'm feeling a bit under the weather at the moment, so my creativity and productivity have been running on low. To remedy that I figured I'll change the concept of the posts for a while, so you'll still get updates, but I won't have to feel too pressured by making them. So for a while forward, I'm going to post only one picture in each post, most often accompanied only by a descriptive link. I'm starting right now:

 

 

 

 

Loving the simple but warm style of this home, renovated by Josefin at Byggfabriken with all natural old school methods and materials. Those standard tiles combined with porcelain lamp sockets are a must in my next home!
