ST. JOSEPH — The Berrien County Board of Commissioners agreed Thursday to ask voters to renew millages for public safety, the 911 emergency system and the operation of senior citizen centers – without asking for a tax increase.

NILES — Residents in the Brandywine school district are being asked to extend an expiring debt millage on the May 7 ballot in order to pay for improvements, including a new performing arts center and new space for career technical education.
