Puerto Escondido is undoubtedly one of the best beach breaks in the world. It is a fast breaking, hollow wave that provides plenty of barrel opportunities.
It's known as the Mexican Pipeline for good reason, and claims numerous boards when it is pumping.
On smaller swells the wave will close out, and up to 8ft will often be very busy. Over 8ft and it is really for the most experienced surfers.
Puerto Escondido is best when it is over 8ft on a south west swell, first thing in the morning with a light offshore.
