A FINALE IN SONG – Whitehorse Concerts presented the final Chapel Series of the season Sunday at the United Church. Michael Gwynne-Thompson, right, and Ben Johnston-Urey were two of the featured performers. Sonja Anderson, (soprano) performed with Rachel Grantham, Sarah Jane Poirier and Robbyn Chiles making special appearances with Anderson. Next, Whitehorse Concerts will hold a pop-up orchestra concert featuring members of the All City Band, Problematic Orchestra, Whitehorse Chamber Orchestra, and more at 7:30 p.m. April 27 at the United Church.

A CULTURAL CELEBRATION – The ’24 Yukon Youth Summit began Wednesday evening with the elder, youth and educator awards at the Yukon Arts Centre. The Dakhká Khwáan Dancers opened for the show, sharing their culture through dance and story. The summit ends today at the arts centre.

HONOURING OUR YOUTH – The ’24 Yukon Youth Summit began Wednesday with the elder, youth and educator awards at the Yukon Arts Centre. Emeral Poppe (above) from Watson Lake was one of the youth receiving an award for ‘her unwavering commitment to revitalizing the Kaska language and advocating for her culture. Returning to her community after university, she immersed herself in learning and teaching Kaska.’ The summit continues until Friday at the arts centre and Yukon University.
