Sierra Nevada - Barrel-Aged Narwhal

    Not a lot of details on this release (as far as distribution and release dates), but here is the label. Looks like this will be packaged in 750ml bottles and clock in at 12.9% ABV. Maybe @sierranevadabill could provide more details on the release, if available?

    Description on bottle reads: "Barrel-Aged Narwhal is our deliciously dark Imperial Stout aged in Kentucky bourbon barrels. Barrel aging is a strange science; it mellows some characteristics of the original beer while intensifying others. Narwhal's aggressive roastiness has calmed, but the rich, chocolate-like malt backbone is brought to the fore. Black as midnight, this intense stout is complex with notes of cocoa and espresso balanced with hints of vanilla and toasted coconut from the oak casks. Nearly as rare as it's nautical namesake, try Barrel-Aged Narwhal while you can because like the creature itself, it will soon dive into the depths and leave nary a trace behind."

    I saw this on their episode on BrewDogs, I tweeted at them about it with no response. Sounds amazing, I'm a fan of regular Narwhal.

    You've got most of the details already. 750mL Cage-and-Cork with an ACL label. We estimate that we'll yield roughly 6,000-ish cases so this will be scarce but not rare, per se. I don't actually know what the price-point will be, but I can look into that. We estimate this will be in-market in late October or Early November depending on how long it takes to package.

    We're making about 50% more of this than we did of BA bigfoot last year, so it should be a touch more available.
