Kanata Gymnosphere is Recruiting a Competitive Women’s Artistic Coach

Kanata Gymnosphere is seeking an experienced WAG Competitive Coach to join a growing & ambitious team. We are interested in both Part Time and Full Time Applicants. The following qualifications/attributes should be attained by all applicants interested in the position.

 

Our Club is located in a fantastic and newly renovated facility in Kanata. We have two separate gyms in our facility, allowing both competitive and recreational programs to grow and thrive. Our WAG Program continues to expand and we have a large range of programming available at our Club. 

Terms of Employment: Permanent (Part-Time/Full Time)

Salary: To be determined on experience/ negotiable 

Position Start Date: Negotiable 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum NCCP Level 2 WAG or Competition 1

  • Current Police Vulnerability Check

  • Gymnastics Ontario Respect in Sport

  • Ability to obtain courses/certification that are mandatory to coach at our Club such as Safe Sport, Concussion Training, Making Ethical Decisions 

  • Current First Aid/CPR 

  • NCCP Level 1 Trampoline

  • Level 2 Trampoline or ability to obtain

Job Duties

  • Plan and train a competitive and recreational athletes  groups (ages 4-16 yrs old)

  • Coach other programs as required (to complete full-time hours and club needs) (acrobatics, Parkour, drop ins, etc)

  • Ensure athlete progression and achievement of goals

  • Works in collaboration with all coaching staff to develop athletes and ensure club success

  • Prepare and follow lesson plans

  • Work in collaboration with all other team members and follow closely rotation plans for the entire gym

  • Obtain NCCP certifications required for the job along with other certifications (first aid, etc)

 

Attributes:

  • Ability to work & collaborate in a team environment with staff & Competitive Director

  • Proven ability to coach in a growing & diverse program (ranging from Developmental, Invitational, Compulsory & Provincial athletes)

  • Has a strong desire to continue Kanata’s quality programming by implementing technical coaching from previous experience

  • Exhibits strong communication skills both with athletes and other staff members

  • Willingness to learn Kanata’s technical standard and adhere to program philosophy

  • Has a positive attitude towards hard work and athlete development

  • Ability to follow direction and implement strategies set forth by Competitive Director

  • Prepare, plan and structure trainings to meet the needs of athlete’s long term development in our program with collaboration of the Competitive Director

We are looking for a dedicated, responsible and enthusiastic full time gymnastics coach.

  • Position Title: Gymnastics Coach

  • Type of position: Full time (32-40 hours/week)

We offer an extensive Recreational and diverse (low to high level) Competitive Program. 

Our programs are growing, and we are currently seeking three full time versatile Gymnastics Coaches.

Skills Requirements:

  • Minimum Secondary (high) school certificate

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a gymnastics coach

  • Motivated, engaged, enthusiastic, friendly, positive, team player, follows instructions.

  • Excellent capacity to plan for and manage a training group

  • Demonstrates the ability to successfully assist athletes in reaching goals

  • Plan and train both recreational and competitive gymnastics

  • Willingness and versatility in coaching all programs as required (tumbling, trampoline, competitive, recreational, kinder etc)

  • Works in collaboration with all coaching staff to develop athletes and ensure club success

  • First aid/CPR or willing to certify

  • Flexible work hours are required (Typical workweek includes afternoons, evenings, and weekend shifts)

  • Vulnerable sector check required

  • Police record required

We Are Hiring: Receptionist (part time)

$15 - $16 an hour

 

Job Description:

We are looking for a dedicated, responsible and enthusiastic receptionist. 

 

Role:
Managing the front desk on a daily basis and for performing a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. 

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Provide professional and friendly service to all customers.

  • Greeting/welcoming customers at arrival

  • Costumer relations (emails, phone calls, etc)

  • Monitor the mailbox and voicemails and provide timely response to enquiries.

  • Maintain and upload information in Amilia registration system.

  • Implement minor changes to website.

  • Filing and organizing invoices, waivers, binders and other administrative documentation.

  • Assist Management Team to process cancellations, registrations, etc, following the procedures in place to retain members.

  • Maintaining good liaison and administrative support to all staff members.

  • Other duties as assigned

  • Manage Operations team to ensure policies and procedures are followed at all times

  • Oversees, supervises and responsible for coordination tasks for all front desk administrative team members.

  • Serves as Liaison with various governmental and other official institutions, as required (such as Ministry of Labor, Gymnastics Ontario, Service Canada, etc) 

  • Responsible for control of cash deposit and ensure weekly deposits are made on time 

  • Works in cooperation with the Management Team to manage/process cancellations, registrations etc following procedures in place to retain members 

  • Assists management team to ensure all members concerns are addressed in a timely manner (maximum 24 hours)

  • Assists Management team with bi-weekly payroll and submit payroll signed off by indicated deadline 

  • Management of employee’s files (contracts, birth dates, memorandums, payroll information, etc.)

  • Promoting and branding the Company through flyers, marketing materials, social media, mail chimp, etc.

  • Prepare and update as needed registration system in a timely manner following session launching due dates

  • Day to day administrative tasks 

  • Customer relations (emails, phone calls, complaints, etc)

  • POS reconciliation 

  • Filing and organizing invoices, waivers, binders and other administrative documentation pertaining to the successful running of the business

  • Procuring office supplies as needed

  • Maintaining good liaison and administrative support to all staff members, as needed.

Job Requirements:
Must have excellent organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Demonstrated responsibility and dependability.
Must exhibit patience and understanding.

Qualifications/ Experience: 
Previous experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative or similar role.

 

Education:
Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in related field is desirable.

Hands-on experience with office equipment (computers, fax machines, printers).
Ability to work as a member of a team and the ability to accomplish tasks with little direct supervision.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.

Assets:

Any gymnastics experience
Desire and ability to work with children

Experience using Photoshop, Wix, or Mailchimp

Previous Experience: Receptionist: 1 year (Preferred)
