I am a certified teacher of high school mathematics, currently teaching at Ukiah High School's Middle College Program (MCP) in Ukiah California. MCP is an alternative education program designed to give first generation college students access and support to college. While our focus is first generation college students, we also offer a smaller learning environment opportunity where all students can be supported by the staff. Students take some core classes through the high school teachers and other their graduation, A-G, or IGETC* requirements are taken through Mendocino Community College.
I continued my education at California State University Monterey Bay in the Master of Science in Instructional Science and Technology (MIST) which became worthwhile endeavor when distance learning was the standard during the pandemic. The skills I learned in the MIST program gave me the skills I needed to maintain quality education for my students during the pandemic. You can see an example of the videos on the Videography page.
The MIST @ CSU Monterey Bay page will have examples of my work for the classes in each term. Unfortunately, between hard drive failure and loss of server access I've lost the files for my interactive and web-based files. There are still plenty of examples of work completed during the time, including the capstone final report.
