A little more about me

I’m a believer, a nurse, a mother of four (1+triplets), and a lover of all things beautiful. My photography journey started back in 2012 during a bout with Post Partum Depression /(PPD).It would be during this challenging season of weakness, hurt and pain that God would gently show up and meet me, giving me a new outlet and medium of artistic expression to now pursue.

I remember coming across a picture of a dandelion one night and sensing His presence. I thought about how although a dandelion might be seen as just a weed, it’s also a delicate, cheerful flower full of symbolism. You see, as many of us know, the dandelion can grow practically anywhere. It can thrive in any condition, rise above any challenge. It seeks the sun, and is the flower of making wishes for so many. I couldn’t help but think; if this small flower is capable of all of these things, then I too am capable of so much more.

For God brings about light from darkness. For He says “He will give a crown of beauty for ashes, a joyous blessing instead of despair.”’(Isaiah 61:3) and in the midst of my darkness Sweet Dandelion would be born. Sweet Dandelion has brought me great healing and joy. Surrounded by newborns, the smiles of young children, the joy of families and the love between a couples, God would use this to pull me out of that season of darkness and despair. I truly believe that Sweet Dandelion was a gift to me from the One above. A gift where I now help capture life’s beautiful moments for others to look back on, for years to come.
