Blake Rohrer

April 12, 1998 — March 4, 2015

Blake Terren Rohrer, 16, of Overland Park, KS died unexpectedly Wednesday March 4, 2015.  Blake was born on Easter, April 12, 1998. He grew up in Louisburg, KS until 6th grade when he then moved to Overland Park, KS.  Blake attended Blue Valley Northwest and was very involved with the Choral department and Mr. Coker. He would serenade us at home all the time and devoted his time to private music lessons as well with Vigthor Zophoniasson. He recently attended the KMEA All State Choir in Wichita where he shared his passion, joy, and love of singing.  Another passion was playing video games on his computer and X-BOX. Countless hours were spent playing League of Legends. He became really good at multitasking with video games, Facebook, and talking to his girlfriend all at the same time.  Blake’s favorite music group was Pentatonix. Blake also had the opportunity to positively impact others at his jobs, which included Sonic, Chic fil A, and Walgreens. When it came to sports, Blake enjoyed playing basketball and competing in Track.  He played basketball with Louisburg Recreational and Harmony Middle School.  He competed in track at Harmony Middle School.  Blake loved the Chiefs, Royals, and most of all his beloved Jayhawks. Blake had a love for his family and was known as the Peacemaker.  He loved to make people laugh and feel good about themselves.  His was an active member of The United Methodist Church of the Resurrection.  He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by two uncles Terren Billingslea and Steve Rohrer.
He is survived by his loving parents; Keri and Chuck Searl of Overland Park, KS and Greg Rohrer and Margie Minnich of Overland Park, KS; siblings, Erika Rohrer and Maddy Rohrer, Overland Park, KS, Katie Searl, Tulsa, OK and Peyton Searl of the home.  Also left to cherish his memory are his grandparents; Sue Billingslea of the home, Ted and Betty Billingslea of Ottawa, KS, Fred and Sandy Rohrer of Troy, KS and Linda Bentch, Buckner MO; Great Grandparents, Joe and Bertha Rohrer, Wathena, KS and Iris Budenosky, Tonganoxie, KS; Aunts and Uncles, Christine and Jim Hueser, Lawrence, KS and Sheri and Ron Cosner, Overland Park, KS; girlfriend, Analeigh Harris of Overland Park, KS and many more family and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 1PM, Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at The United Methodist Church of the Resurrection, Main Sanctuary, 13720 Roe Ave., Leawood, Kansas.  A gathering of family and friends will be immediately following the service, also at the church.
