Eljuri is a New Yorker, immigrant, Latina, woman, singer, and guitarist. Her greatest passions are songwriting and activism. Eljuri’s music is a fusion of Latin, reggae and global rhythms with rock and funk. The bilingual songs are socially conscious and about current global issues.

In her world, music and activism are positively intertwined. She’s been called a ‘Rockstar Humanitarian’. She seeks to empower not only the Latino community but all champions for human rights. Representation matters.

The Eljuri Concerts for Democracy: Amplifying Voices for Social Change project is a live concert and workshop series with a focus on helping audience members find and use their voice towards positive change in their lives.

In 2024 the ideal outcome would be to help people understand their voting rights in the US, register to vote and/or help others register to vote, find out where to vote, where to find truthful and unbiased voting information in their communities about their local representatives and the national presidential election. With our national voting partners HeadCount.org, EveryVoteCounts.org and SpreadTheVote.org we have voting registration materials in English and Spanish, are able to offer a pathway to getting official legal IDs for those who don’t have them and can be reaching our youngest potential voters. After each concert we will have open conversation about the importance of voter registration. All questions about voting eligibility etc will be answered at our inclusive community gathering of like minds. This is a non-partisan event.

‘Keep It Up’

Re-affirming Eljuri’s original sound with her funky guitar, pocket grooves and hooky bilingual vocal riffs, Eljuri wrote this motivating theme to elevate and inspire fellow sisters and brothers who share in the fight against injustice.

Reafirmando el sonido original de Eljuri con su guitarra funky, ritmos de bolsillo y riffs vocales bilingües enganchados, este tema motivador fue escrito para elevar e inspirar a hermanos y hermanas que comparten la lucha contra la injusticia.
